The Model-X push button station (PBS) is designed for use at a pedestrian crosswalk with in-pavement or overhead flashing yellow lights. Working in conjunction with a control unit, the Model-X provides an instructional sign, a push button with directional arrow for activating the flashing lights, a voice message, and a group of yellow LEDs

These on-demand, visually vivid signs are enhanced with 96 high-intensity red LED lights, and alert the motorist to STOP. The LED border-enhanced stop sign has 8 bars containing a total of 96 high intensity red LED lights. This radar-based system activates when an approaching vehicle is detected at a predetermined distance.

Side-mounted LED arrays flash simultaneously to advise pedestrians that the RRFB's have been activated and are visible to drivers approaching the crosswalk. RRFB light bars can be easily combined with our state of the art LaneLight in-road systems to produce a dramatically enhanced "SuperCrosswalk" system.
